In cases where a draft pick needs to be changed, use this page to force a particular player into the cell.

The sections labeled  Available Standard Players and Available Auxiliary Players show all players not yet drafted and still available.  Which standard players and auxiliary players are in the draft is defined by the local draft administrator.  Each standard player is identified by their name, team played on as listed by Strat-O-Matic, and an ID used by the draft system.  Each Auxiliary player is identified only by name and ID.  The ID is what is entered to force a particular player into a cell.

Current Draft Status shows the entire draft with the picks and actions of each cell.

View above draft starting with round controls how the current draft status is displayed.  When there are a large number of rounds or teams, it may be convenient to display only a partial summary of the draft status.

At the bottom of the page is the assignment control where you enter the information to force the draft pick.  First choose whether the player being forced is a standard or auxiliary player as shown above in available players.  Next enter the player's ID, the round and pick number.  The pick number is shown to the immediate left of the team name in the current draft status

If a player already exists in the draft cell, that player must be removed from that cell before any player can be forced into it.  Do so by entering the round and pick number into the assignment control leaving either the assign box or player # or both blank.  That player is then removed and placed back into the list of available players.

The system will verify that the forced player will not violate any league rules such as salary usage or maximum free agents drafted, by assigning that player to the team owning that draft pick.  Any violations will prevent the forced assignment.
